Heroism – Act of Saving Life Award, Presented by AmericanTowman

Six of our incredible Rogers employees were honored with the "Heroism – Act of Saving Life" Award. The award, which only has 11 recipients per year, is reserved for operators who take extraordinary action in life-threatening situations, often placing themselves at personal risk to save others. These incidents go far beyond normal job expectations and reflect decisive action under pressure, professional skill, and an unwavering commitment to human life.

The selection process includes careful review and vetting by American Towman, the leading industry publisher, which also sponsors and distributes the award. Recipients are chosen based on verified actions that resulted in a life being saved.

Rogers Towing and Transport was chosen based on a highly involved recovery it performed in December 2024, in which a semi-truck hauling a load of common pesticide rolled off the sharp curve of a remote logging road. This risked the contamination of drinking water for nearby communities as well as threatened endangered fish species in a nearby creek. You can read the full account HERE.

We are extremely honored to receive this award, as it reflects our company’s dedication and commitment to professionalism, safety, and the welfare of all our customers.

Donnie Cruse Award, Presented by WreckMaster

In addition, Rogers Towing and Transport received the Donnie Cruse Award, also for the above-mentioned recovery. The award is sponsored and presented by WreckMaster, the towing and recovery industry’s leading accredited training institution providing towing, recovery and specialized industry training worldwide. The Donnie Cruse award is WreckMaster’s highest honors and is presented for a recovery that demonstrates exceptional technical skill, advanced planning, precision execution, and absolute adherence to safety standards under difficult and hazardous conditions.

Named in honor of Donnie Cruse, a leader and innovator in the towing and recovery industry, the award recognizes recoveries that serve as benchmarks for best practices. These are operations that exemplify what professional, properly trained recovery work should look like—where equipment selection, rigging, scene management, and decision-making all align to protect lives, property, and responders.

Rogers Towing is honored to have been presented with such a prestigious award and couldn’t have done it without the support and dedication of our employees, their families, and all the other emergency services that responded to the incident.
